• DEC/JAN— Downtown Park Design Concepts Underway
Per the City’s timeline, the consultant is advancing design, spending public dollars while collecting limited and anecdotal input from pop-up farmers' market and ad-hoc Q&A gatherings—more promotional outreach than community direction.
Three concepts will be developed, and Council will select one to move to construction drawings.
🚨 If this matters to you, speak up now — before a single design becomes the City’s chosen plan. Expected in February 2026.
JAN–Council Sets 2026 Priorities
The City will set its 2026 priorities for budgets, plans, and capital projects.
Now is the moment to:
-
Pause the Downtown Park and get Parks priorities clear
-
Prioritize a needed update to Parks Plan (2012 last update)
-
Redirect Downtown Park funds to needed citywide parks
-
📣 Tell Council your priorities before they lock in funding and direction for fiscal year 2025-2026.
